Sometimes when I fly, my plain will go into a roll, end over end this seems impossible to me. Once this end over end roll happens there is no recovering from it, you loose all control of your airplane. Not to mention when you fall 2 thousand feet out of the ski in a end over end roll you land on a dime on the ground, now I know this is impossible. It seems to me that wings are designed to get lift. - thavens |
We believe that this is caused by inertia not being modeled correctly relative to drag. It is next on the agenda for FM fixes. |

| FM Bug# 2 Ground Suck |

| Description | Solutions/Comments | Status |

All of the planes I have flown so far lose power at low altitude. - Joseph Kucharski Despite what the new Dynamix FAQ says, the "Ground Suck" bug is readily reproduced in the "Mountains of Death" in Fly Now mode. Planes that are pointed downhill, with a nose down attitude will still lose power and stall, instead of gain power. This happens after coming near stall speed from previous manuevering. Behavior especially noticed in slower planes like the Morane Bullet. - Cage |
This is one of those nasty things that seems to actually be more than one effect. There may well be a bug here (several good theories have been put forth, and were looking at them), but we havent verified one, yet. This is complicated by the fact that the aircraft we are modeling all have terrible high-AOA properties, and can behave rather counter-intuitively at low speed |

| FM Bug# 4 Flight lead doesn't wait to form up |

I'm flying for the French at the beginning of the war, and the flight lead does not give the flight a chance to form up. He just heads out for the first waypoint. - Mark |

| FM Bug# 5 Lack of Gyroscopic Precession |

| Description | Solutions/Comments | Status |

I have no engine torque effect after the patch. The Camel is now a pussycat to fly, no torque to the right at all!!!! - Geo. Ribeiro The effects of Gyroscopic Precession in the rotary planes are so mild as to be almost unnoticeable. - Cage |

| FM Bug# 6 Too much vertical life in Snipe |

| Description | Solutions/Comments | Status |

Last night, I did takeoffs with vertical climbs. The Snipe has way to much lift. - Rudy Spankanovich |

| FM Bug# 7 Landing instead of crashing |

On several occasions, I have abrubtly landed when I should have been crashing. Once out of loop/stall, I ended out right side up and just hit the ground in a perfect 3 point landing. - Rudy Spankanovich In a DH2 during a campaign game the plane lost power and would not go above 14000 rpm. The plane lost height and landing on an airfield the speed dropped too low to sustain flight (my fault that bit!) and the plane nose dived. I thought it would crash but on impacting the ground all of a sudden I was landing correctly. Saved my ace status anyway! Interestingly enough I was hospitalised for a wound!! - Neil Stevens |
