New Planes

Suggestions for New Planes - Expansion Pack?

Suggestion Response Status

Bristol F2b 'Brisfit'

Make the Bristol F2b 'Brisfit' available to fly as a fighter, which it actually was. A fellow Canadian, Capt. A.E. McKeever, flew this plane and scored 30 victories; it was very formidable and not just a 2 seater.

All the original NP planes from RB1 would be proper. The Junkers J.1 for one.....

And rare Fokker fighters: Fokker D.I thru D.V - (early war fighters) Fokker D.VI - (design link between the Dr.1 and D.VII)

Albatros D.I.

Why is it they left this out??? 2 Machine guns, top stuff! Quote below borrowed from the Airodrome WWW page.

"Ordered to copy the Nieuport 17, the Albatros company developed the impressive D.I. Unlike other fighters at the time, its fuselage was covered with sheets of plywood rather than stretched fabric.

This gave the D.I great strength and rigidity. Despite poor visibility to the front and above, Oswald Boelcke used this plane to achieve 11 victories in 16 days."

I'd like to see SE5's as well as SE5a's, same with the Pfalz D.III/a, Albatros series as well. Dr.1 was built with several engine installations and I'd like to see some of those modeled. Sopwith Camel and the larger bentley...etc

Perhaps a motor pulldown menu in the single mission builder. Leave the campaign game as is (no fair letting you pick your motor in wartime...WON too, leave as is. perhaps motor size could be dependant on 'dice-throw' for campaigns

Ansaldo SVA5

This was an Italian plane: 143.5 mph at ground level, climb to 10,000 ft in 8.1 minutes. Armed with 2 Vickers. So good it stayed in service until late 1920's.

Pfalx D.IIIa

Better than the D.III (plain), entered service in Dec 1917, and was the one used till the end of the war, not the D.III. The "plain" D.III was phased out by April 1918. It turned slightly better than the Albatros D.Va.
