Aces High Gunners Cage @ 3:11

Aces High will be adding gunners to crewable planes like the B-17. Here's the details from the news forum.

"The AH gunner system allows either the pilot or his gunner to control multiple positions simultaneously. As you man a particular position and point your weapon, all other weapons that share that field of fire will automatically slew to that direction. You then have the option to fire only the weapon you are manning or all weapons that are pointed at your target. For example, if you're in the nose of a B-17G and you have a target at 1 o'clock low and were to fire all available weapons, the target would receive fire from the ball turret, the chin turret, and the right cheek gun." - Pyro

Ouch! That's a lot of firepower.

Nomad II announced Cage @ 23:02

GameDaily reports that Creative has announced the Nomad II MP3 player at the Internet World convention.

Here's the details ripped right from the article.

"It (the Nomad II) offers easier and faster USB-port connectivity, a wired remote control unit, a backlit display and improvements to the memory-card support, as well as the original specs of MP3 playback, included FM tuner and support software. It’s slated for release in the first quarter of 2000 with an SRP under $400." - Game Daily.

Panzer Elite Goes Gold Cage @ 2:12

Panzer Elite by Wings Simulations has gone Gold and is off to the duplicators.

Panzer Elite is a very promising WW II tank simulation. The beta received some very positive comments from Combat Simulations and SimHQ.

After hunting around the web, I finally found a good news script to use on my site. While it does have some limitations, NewsPro is really slick.

Eventually I'll also be adding full archive support, so that folks will be able to search the archives for news stories etc.
